Located right at the Dam, at the vibrating city centre capital of the Netherlands.
The Club has 7 halls/rooms at its disposal, among which two boardrooms, partnership restaurant, Bar and Club. The “Groote Zaal” (big hall), which offers space to 175 persons for a reception and to 150 persons for dinner, has a unique view at the Rokin. The other rooms have all a spectaculair and unique view at the Royal Palace and the monument at the Dam.
Nowadays the Club still plays a role as active society and business club. ‘Industria’, where the Club is situated, is not only opened for its members anymore.
The Society De Groote Club was founded in 1872. The original goal is still striven for: the Club offers a world in itself in the city, where the members can meet, discuss, relax and entertain.
In 2013 the Industrieele Groote Club celebrated its 100th anniversary and was crowned with the word ‘Koninklijk’ in its’ name (Royal). Prince Bernhard and Prince Friso were regular visitors of the Club as patrons of the club. The location had a special role during the crowning of King Willem-Alexander as well. The Industrieele Groote Club hosted BNR and the Dutch news channel and many more important guests.
