Free city map
Be your own guide during a city walk trough the historical city centre, using one of our three free walking routes. Via the QR code, you will see an extensive description of each stopping point on the routes; if you want, you could print these and take them hardcopy with you. On the routes, we give you our personal tips for the best local shops, special museums, good restaurants and nice bars.
See an example of the free city map of the old city centre of Amsterdam, the Jordaan area and the canal district area.
Get your free copy at:
- Restaurant-Café In de Waag: opened daily from 10am-11pm. At walking distance from Amsterdam Central Station, this is the ideal start for your day in the old town.
- Museum of the Canals: after a visit, you will see the canals of Amsterdam from another perspective.
- Cafe Thijssen: a cosy cafe and restaurant from where you could explore the Jordaan area.
- Brasserie Schiller: on Rembrandt square.
You can also ask for the city map at all shops, lunchrooms, tasting rooms, restaurants, museums and hotels mentioned on this website. The city map is bilingual: in Dutch as well as in English.
Unfortunately, we cannot send any map per postal service; we agreed with our partners that people can pick up the free map when they are in town, so they can immediately use the map on their way.
