Antiques Centre Amsterdam
Whether you are fond of vintage, art and antiques or just looking for a special gift, you have to visit Antiques Centre Amsterdam! In the many market stalls and showcases within this centre, you will find ceramics, porcelain, paintings, jewellery, tableware and much more.
Antiques Centre Amsterdam is situated in the heart of the Jordaan area in Amsterdam. Behind the narrow facade, you will find this antique paradise, on a surface of no less than 1.750 square metres! In 1978, this former Peugeot garage was transformed into antiques centre De Looier. This name was referring to tanners who were situated in the Jordaan area at the end of the 17th century, to practice their craft.
55 dealers show their impressive, changing assortment in their market stalls: jewellery, lighting, silverware, porcelain, statues, wall decorations and even small furniture pieces. The showcases display unique collectors' items and numerous curiosities. You can find anything for any budget; you won't return empty-handed... if you can still find the exit, of course.
Antiques Centre Amsterdam has a large clientele, but also many Dutch day trippers and foreign tourists like to take a look.
After strolling around looking, admiring and maybe buying some of all that gorgeous antique stuff, you could have a nice cup of coffee, drink, lunch or snack at Brasserie Blazer.
